    The statement is - True.

The Ohio-Missouri-Mississippi (also referred to as MOM) River System is the largest and most significant river system in North America. The main river in this system is the Mississippi River, so the river system is most often referred to as just Mississippi RIver System and Missouri and Ohio rivers as one its biggest tributaries as well as the Arkansas, Illinois, and Red rivers. This system drains 41% of the USA and little of Canada as well. It has a big economic importance for the USA because 60% of the grain, 22% of oil and gas, and 20% of coal shipments are through it. Also if some measures are taken like reducing the meanders, correcting parts of the banks, regulation of the floodings, this river system will be by far the most economically important river system in the world by being able to support ships far inland into the US.
