    Seismic waves classified in to body waves and surface waves. Body waves further classified in to primary and secondary waves. Primary waves or P waves travel through both solid and liquid and travel faster than other seismic waves. Secondary or S waves travels through only solid particles this waves revals the characteristics of outer core is liquid and inner core is solid in character. Surface waves ae sub classified in to Love and Rayleigh waves.
