A process called electrolysis can separate water into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. Another process is being developed which can extract oxygen from rocks and soil that contain it. Do you think these processes could be useful on the Moon? How?

    I think it can be really beneficial to astronauts. This process would give astronauts additional access to oxygen for fuel and life support, as well as a wide range of metal alloys which are produced as a by-product of the process.
