How does latitude influence climate in canada?

    Since Canada is so many degrees latitude north of the equator, it recieves little to no daylight compared to other parts of the world. In the summer, Canada gets about 24 hours of sunlight a day, as the earth tilts slightly when it rotates around the sun. Generally, Canada also has lower temperatures than areas closer to the equator, as the sun isn't directly hitting it as long as the areas closer to the equator.
