    A) France The Venezuelan War of Independence happened from 1810 to 1823 where Venezuela gained its independence from the Spanish Empire. This war didn't technically result in independence for Venezuela, but instead resulted in the independence of Gran Colombia which comprised what is currently Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador. A major reason the war started was the revolutionaries being encouraged to fight because of the troubles that Spain was having with the Napoleonic Wars, fighting France.
