The Laurentian Uplands are highlands that are part of the Canadian Shield. They occupy the region from Minnesota and Ontario in the United States, across the northeastern part of the United States and southeastern part of Canada. This large plateau is very old, in fact it is part of one of the oldest crusts in the world.
