Brussels is the capital of Belgium and it's a city in the center of it: almost exactly in the middle of the country.
Belgium is a country between France and Germany, in Western Europe (and South of another country between France and Germany: The Netherlands (Holland).
If you exclude the Scandinavian Peninsula you can also say that Belgium is in the northern part of the European Mainland.
