According to the text, which are some modern variations or experimental ideas used in twentieth-century plays?

E. set, script, and cast

F. little plot or action (Multiple Choice - Select One or More)

G. no script; improvisation

In the twentieth century, playwrights such as Arthur Miller, Neil Simon, Samuel Beckett, and others have drawn upon old traditions as well as using experimental ideas of theater. Sometimes a play has no script-the actors improvise their dialogue. At times, the audience becomes the cast of characters. Some dramatists have written plays that contain very little action or plot definition. Even in the midst of this experimentation, however, traditional plays are still being written, produced, and enjoyed.
