Why are volcanoes and seamounts considered tectonic mountains

    The lower density magma rises through the crust to the surface. Volcanoes are formed near or above subducting zones. This happens over time on a convergent boundary. " tectonic mountains " are created by action and movement of the plates. But to conclude all that, mountains and seamounts are considered tectonic mountains because they’re associated with deep tectonic activity
