What is the concentration of a solution,

expressed in g/100 mL, if 25 g of solute is

dissolved in 40 mL of water?

    C = M / (Vsolvent + Vsolute)

    C = 25 g / (40 ml + about 10 ml for solute) = about 0.5 g/ml
