    immigration to European countries has a long history, which has increased substantially over the 20 C. E, especially in the western European countries have seen a high growth rate in the history of migration. Since world war 2 the European nations due to the military invasions there have been notable moments of the population over this region notably from the roman empires due to migration of Slavic people. There have been illegal immigration and asylum-seeking since the 1990s, most of the migrants are from Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, Iceland, and Finland. Thus the culture of the Mediterranean region is dominated by Christian and medieval architecture of greeks and Romans.
