    The given statement is false, the Aging of sedimentary rocks can be easily done with direct dating of the Volcanic Ash layers. Moreover, sedimentary are layered the older layers are at the bottom and the younger layer are at the top. Although sedimentary rocks do not contain radio active element but their absolute age can be determine by direct dating of the Volcanic Ash layers.
