Bacteria's which are micro organism reproduce at a very rapid rate. They also die at a faster rate too. When this organism dies they decay and add more nutrient to the soil to improve the fertility. Bacteria uses nitrogen and other nutrient from the soil to enhance their growth and reproduction. Since they have a short life cycle the Nitrogen and other important nutrient are channel back to the soil thereby improving soil fertility.

Earthworm activities adds nutrient to the soil. Earthworms burrows through the soil, this activities creates pore spaces for air and water to enter the soil. The decay of this organisms when they die also live essential nutrient for the soil.
