India is a nation of South Asia, with borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan and China, located south of the Himalayas. It is the seventh largest country with more than 3 million square kilometers of surface, and the most populous with 1.4 billion people. This overcrowding means that many cities in the country cannot cover the services and provisions necessary to cover the basic needs of their citizens, which consequently generates a high rate of poverty and indigence among its citizens. Therefore, although in nominal terms India has the sixth highest GDP in the world, when contextualized in relation to its population, its GDP per capita is only $ 2,000 a year, ranking 146th worldwide for a total of 194 countries analyzed. As a consequence of this situation, the Human Development Index of India is low, ranking 129 with an HDI of 0.647, being considered an underdeveloped country.
