Human geographers recognize the existence of three types of industry. Primary industry is extractive; secondary industry includes manufacturing and is transformative; and tertiary industry provides services to consumers or other businesses. Name at least one type of each industry that you find in your hometown or near to it, and why it would fit into these respective categories.

    Explanation:

    The primary forms the basis for the secondary and the tertiary industries and hence is the backbone of most of the industrial nations in the world.

    The primary industry known as the traditional industry is composed of agriculture at the base and is the getting of raw materials needed for the growth and development of the secondary sector that is manufacturing, the industries included in this primary sector are fishing, timber, and tobacco. And those in manufacturing are electronics, automotive shipbuilding steel industries that rely heavily on the access of raw matter like tire, ion ores and sources of energy like tidal, wind and solar that are natural sources of energy like the mining industry. The third form of industry is the services industry like the internet, finance and hospitality and education, etc. All based on the functions of the above two levels of the economy. From my hometown the nearest industry is the educational industry which is located in the city as university and various institutes ha t provide allied services.
