Why did ptolemy have to introduce multiple circles of motion for the planets instead of a single, simple circle to represent the planetâs motion around the sun?

    According to Ptolemic Model the Earth was considered to be at the center of Earth. All the planets, stars and moons were thought to be revolving around the Earth will be doing so in epicycles. The epicycles are spiral movement in which movement is given while forming circles and center in orbits around the Earth
