The answer is Modiified Mercalli Intensity Scale. This seismic device is used to measure the intensity of the earthqauke and allows seismologists to determin the probable damage caused by the eathquake. The scale often used Roman Numerals to measure the intensity of the earthqauke and based it from the damage caused by the earthquake on that specific place.

This scale is the Modified Mercalli Scale. This scale takes into consideration the damage caused by an earthquake by giving a description of the damage or destruction caused at each intensity level. For example an earthquake with an intensity of V will cause windows or dishes to break.
