    The three types of plate boundaries are Divergent, Convergent and Transform boundary. The transform boundary of the plate tectonic rift is found near the entire Californian coast. These boundaries are demarcated by shear zones, the plate tectonic boundary of divergence is found in place of the splitting of the oceanic crusts like in mid-oceanic ridges. The third boundary is of convergence in nature, which is found in most of the parts of the world like the Pacific and North America plates. If any volcanoes and earthquakes on the plate boundaries arise then they are bound to be cause and consequence of two lighter and heavier plates colliding with each other and as result, the plates burn against one another and create seismic shocks. Southern California has transform boundary and Fault is the San Andreas Fault that extends to 1,200 kilometers. The active fault with shallow earthquakes and Dextral motion. No as the shear zones do not have volcanic activities, and southern California is drifting to the western sides due to the movements along with the pacific plate.
