    The correct answer is - B. It is increasing.

    The population in the world has been increasing for quite some time now. The biggest rise in the population was seen in the post World War II period, when the so called ''baby boom'' took place.

    Even though in many parts of the world the birthrates have dropped significantly in the past few decades, like Europe, North America, East Asia, Australia, still the population on global scale is growing. This is due to the very high birthrates in Africa, but also because of South America, and the Muslim countries in Asia.

    In general, the world's population is growing, but the tempo of growth is becoming smaller and smaller with each year.
