What would be the time difference between successive high tides for a coastal location if the sun was the only object in the sky and there was no moon? Has to be hours and minutes.

    Explanation:

    Tides are the periodic rise and fall of the ocean surface waters and they result from the unequal attraction of the gravitational pull of the sun and the moon and builds up greater heights in shallow waters and the earth gets as average daily tow high and tow lo tides i. e 24 hr and 50 minutes. As the planet is rotating with the high tide convert to low tide as the Earth turns. as without the moon, the tides will be one-third of the size they are now.
