    Answer: Biodiversity is important because it serves as the major purpose of the maintaining the climate on the earth

    Explanation:Biodiversity is the combination of all the variety of life which are present on the earth and whole ecosystem as well. Therefore the species and living beings present in the ecosystem have a interdependence on each other

    If suppose biodiversity is neglected then there will be a degradation in the amount of forest ecosystem which will directly increase the release of green house gases and there will be less number of plants and tress for absorbing them and thus damaging the environment and this will ultimately effect on the climatic conditions of earth. Thus, biodiversity is very important ans should be preserved.
