Over the past 150 years, how has fossil fuel consumption affected the carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere? Increased fossil fuel use has decreased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations. The use of fossil fuels has had no effect on atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations.
