Five types of salt are table salt which comes from underground mines and includes iodine, kosher salt which is very coarse grained and dissolves quickly but has no iodine, sea salt which includes zinc, potassium and iron, and is somewhat coarse grained, Himalayan salt which is pink and comes from the Khewra Mine in Pakistan and contains 84 minerals and finally black Hawaiian salt which includes activated charcoal and is especially good on pork and seafood.
