What term refers to the formation that grows downward from the top of the cave?

The term that is usually used to describe a certain geological phenomenon wherein structures are formed from the top of a cave down under is known as the stalagtite formation. In contrary with the stalagmite, a stalactite is a rock formation wherein most have resemblance with an "icicle."
