    Coniferous forest constitutes trees and shrubs that bear cones which have needle-like and or scale-like evergreen leaves that do not shed seasonally, their foliage retain throughout the year instead, even on winter. Coniferous trees are tress like cedar, pine, fir, juniper, cypress, spruce, larch, yew, redwood and varieties of hemlock. These trees are critical for northern birds because the seed crops are important food sources. Coniferous forest can be temperate large scale vegetation found in temperate regions with warm summers and cool winters and enough rainfall to sustain the forest.
