You have seen how large Jupiter would be if the Sun were a 1 meter sphere. Using the same scale, how large would the other planets be? Give your answers in meters, rounded to the nearest one thousandth.

    If the diameter of the sun is 1,391,000,000 meters, then if it were a 1-meter sphere the diameter would be 7.2 * 10 ⁻¹⁰

    As for the other planets, the original diameters of each planet should be multiplied by the new diameter of the sun, which leads to:

    Mercury: 0.0035 meters

    Venus: 0.0087 meters

    Earth: 0.0092 meters

    Mars: 0.0049 meters

    Jupiter: 0.1028 meters

    Saturn: 0.086 meters

    Uranus: 0.0367 meters

    Neptune: 0.0356 meters
