Explanation:
Shearing is the process by which a rock is exposed stress and deformed. The change of shape results in unique and peculiar formations, but the type of rock has a lot to do with how it responds to shearing. The more ductile the rock, the more it can deform itself. If the rock is not ductile at all, rather than acquire a new shape, it will simply fracture.
