The Paleolithic age was known as the Old Stone Age. During this time people hunted and gathered to get their food. They lived out in the open a lot and they moved around often looking for food and water. They were known as nomads. Men in the Paleolithic age hunted animals and learned how to use spears and weapons. Women stayed back to watch over their children and they gathered berries and nuts. Their were also technology developments such as sharp bone needles for sewing baskets and clothes. Gradually these humans learned to make shelters out of animals skin or wood. Fire was a major source, as it provided warmth, easy cooking so people could digest food, and a place to socialize with others.
