Hitler had already planned the invasion of Poland from before. After that Poland went into a pact with Britain and France in the year 1939 and the two nations guaranteed the independence of Poland. On the 25th of August in 1939, Poland and Britain created a pact named Polish British Common Defense Pact. Although Hitler at first tried to form a friendly pact with Poland regarding Danzig, but he was refused. This made Hitler attack and capture Danzig later on.
