    The political philosophies that inspired the constitution were that all people are created equal, and that people should choose their governments and if they became bad or tyrannical that people should have the power to change them. The governed cannot be governed without their consent. These were political theories by philosophers such as John Locke and Rousseau, and they inspired the constitution.
