    By 1830 to 1890 the first suburbs were served by horsecars, but it made the travel long and difficult when railroad companies started to build passengers stations along their routes, small villages started to develop. Semi-residential communities came along and upper and upper-middle classes escaped from the city centers to the rural countryside.
