What were the reasons for europe's imperial conquest of africa

    There were three reasons, economic, social and political.

    Economic: Europe needed more natural resources and more markets to trade with.

    Politics: countries such as Britain, France German and more were fighting for more areas to control to show power and political dominance.

    Social: issues such as unemployment, poverty and homelessness were occurring in Europe. So to fix that they came up with the solution to shop their issues overseas.
