The voter turn-out of the youth for the presidential elections between 1988 and 1992 increased from 36.2% to 42.8% where Bill Clinton applied "Attribute priming" to reach the youth for example through the use of emerging forms of new media. Bill Clinton defeated George W. Bush with 370 electoral votes against bush's 168 votes.
