    The correct answer is A.

A mayor is an elected leader of a municipal government. He is the chief executive officer of the city. Sometimes he is the leader of the city council (council-manager form of government).

The mayor has the veto power. He can veto any action of the City Council. If he exercises his veto power, he must explain the reason for such a veto to the council (at the time of the veto and in writing). The council may override the mayor's veto by tho-thirds majority of the council members.
