    1. The primary causes of poverty in Central America are: Drug trafficking, Government Rivalries and Security and Trust Issues. Extreme drug trafficking has made the region to experience violence and corruption making it very challenging to reach further growth and stability. For example, Honduras highest murder rate in the world clearly shows this problem. Governments' rivalries between the El Salvador and Honduras governments on issues of shores to waterways has created continuing problems on property rights. Border control issues are evident between Belize and Guatemala. In Central America, national security has been a challenge, especially on drug consumption and trafficking.

    2. Yes, central America is obtaining International Aid Programs such as the U. S Aid and the Central American Regional Security Initiative (CARSI). The U. S provides approximately $475 million in total foreign assistance to Central America and Mexico. In Mexico, the budgets goals are to strengthen the judicial and security institutions to be able to face drug trafficking, crimes, corruption and money laundering. In Guatemala, the funds are to assist in programs addressing transnational crimes, human right challenges and the rule of law. In El Salvador, the budget aim at increasing citizens security and rule of law.

The potential solutions to addressing issues of poverty in Central America are: Establishing a stable rule of law, enabling free trade, privatizing state-owned Enterprises, introducing competing currencies, Ending drug war, removing barriers to business, embracing ZEDEs and practicing free market Education.

    From history, strong caudillos have been ruling Central America. This should end because these men believe they are above the law thus such countries experience more coups, high corruptions and a government controlled economy. There is need to practice limited government interference of economy, independence of judiciary system, respect for private properties and creating a law governed society.

    4. The solutions that can make an impact in eliminating poverty in Central America are ending corruption, reducing the inequality gap and advocating for education and skills development. Through proper national security, the government can stop the challenge of drugs and eliminate the cartels. This will offer chances for the effected population to engage with other activities that are economical important. When the population is educated and equipped with vital skills they will be able to get jobs and improve their standard of living.
