Industrialisation affects people and the environment because it brings more people to the cities. During the Industrial Revolution there was a period of rapid urbanisation, where masses of people moved from the countryside into the cities to work in the factories. Industrialisation affects the environment by increasing pollution, and increasing land use, and there is a demand for more and more products, requiring more and more factories.
