    The first crusade started was the first of a number of religious wars initiate over centruies. It strated in 1096 and ended in 1099 in Levant and ‎Anatolia. Pope Urban II directed and mobilze Christian in Europe to conquer the Islamic lands of the Mediterranean after been under Muslim rule for 450 years. After seven weeks of siege, the war ended in the crusaders' favor.
