How did the formation of a middle class affect peasants during the Middle Ages?

Just like in urban society it eld to the bigger stratification of peasants/farmers it led to the more vast gropus of wealthy and rich farmers with many hired agrciutral workers or and also the middle class farmes possesd bigger amoiunts of land
