Communism and socialism are economic and political structures that promote equality and seek to eliminate social classes. Like communism, socialism's main focus is on equality. But workers earn wages they can spend as they choose, while the government, not citizens, owns and operates the means for production.

    Hello!

Communism is both an economic AND political system, whilst socialismis only an economic system.

Another way the two differ is that socialism is based on cooperation, sharing equally, and every person is part of decision making. Every citizen has equal values and rights, regardless of their race, gender, nationality, or religion.

On the other hand, communism is where the government owns everything and it makes the decisions and provides equality. That is the major difference between socialism and communism.
