Germany offered a deal with Mexico to invade U. S. which angered U. S and went to war with Germany. As well as Germany sinking U. S cargo ships that were going to Great Britain.

Hiya!
The reason why the U. S became involved in WWI was due to the sinking of the British ship "Lusitania". It was sunk by a German u-boat, killing over 1000 people (some were American). This continued with German u-boats contining to sink American boats, Leading to the U. S becoming involved in WWI
