    The Treaty of Versailles (which in French means; Traité de Versailles) was the most crucial of the peace treaties and agreement that ended the World War I. The Treaty brought to a conclusion the state of war among Germany and the Allied forces.

    Majority of Americans as at then were also apprehensive and uncomfortable (but not protesting) about Wilson's plan for a League of Nations. They were afraid that becoming a part to the League would drag the USA into unnecessary international disputes that does not concern them. at the end, the US Congress disapproved the Treaty of Versailles as well as the League of Nations.
