    It is true that the colonies were much more concerned about social class than we are today.

    Explanation:

    The colonists were the countries which had authority over the other countries because of their financial power or the military power of the colonists. They were only concerned about their own benefits and profits or about expanding their own market for the goods they had manufactured and were not concerned about the problem in the colonies or about the people who were in the lower class of the society even if they did not have basic amenities of living their lives.
