What was the effect of the change from hand power to machine power in industry?

If ur talking about 1760 to 1800 a lot more people got jobs but the conditions were terrible. This was the case but a lot of people wanted to start working because most of them worked on farms and they didn't make money but when they worked at a factory they were getting paid.
