After that, the constitution has the other amendments that were successfully ratified and became a part of the constitution. The preamble explains what the constitution is about, the articles are the basic ones that were presented at the continental congress, while the bill of rights was added to ensure the cooperation of states. Other amendments were added from time to time as the need for them developed such as the 19th amendment for example which gave women general suffrage rights.
