    Explanation: They were the students trying to go to there newly integrated high school but were stopped by the National Guard. Eventually, Current President at the time, Dwight Eisenhower, sent the military to personally escort them into the school

    The answer is D: the Little Rock Nine. Nine African American students enrolled at an all white high school in Arkansas in 1957. White people at the time weren't too happy about it. The Little Rock Nine challenged racial segregation in public schools, however. The impact this had for the civil rights of African-Americans made a huge difference.
