How were Soviet troops different from French and Polish troops? Soviet troops were better organized. Soviet troops were more aggressive. Soviet troops refused to retreat or surrender. Soviet troops knew how to fight in difficult conditions.

    Soviet troops had been taught since the time they joined to believe that surrendering or retreating without orders are one of the most dishonourable thing that a soldier could do.

    This what made them feared by any other European countries. They are willing to abandon everything they have to fought for their cauntry's cause to the bitter end.
