    C is the correct answer, as with the other question.

    US District Courts are the Federal Trial Courts and as such will hear both civil and criminal trials. The US District Courts are often, but not always, the Court of original jurisdiction for cases in the Federal system. Federal Courts only hear issues with a federal angle, otherwise the case would be heard by a State court.
