    Political parties play a major role in election activities. A political party is a group of people which have similar beliefs and principles and they want the utmost control of the government through elections.

    Political parties nominate candidates to lead different levels of government. This includes the national level, Congress, and the presidency. They often organize and mobilize voters in election campaigns. Political parties raise money through a method called political party funding. They raise funds for campaigning and daily activities through:-

    a. party members give membership fees or individual supporters give donations.

    b. Corporate donations or by organizations who benefit from the party's activities.

    c. Taxpayers or public funding.
