    repealed the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act, created by British Parliament in 1765, was a tax placed on every piece of paper used for various means in the colonies. The intent of The Stamp Act was to raise money to support troops defending the American Frontier but colonist saw it as a form of taxation without representation.
