Charles Lindergh was an avator who rose to fame as result of his feat in flying soloacross Atlantic ocean. His position on United States involvement in the war was against the Americans joining the war. This was as a result of his isolonist views with he held - of America protecting its own only.

He later supported the involvement of the United States of America in the war. This was as a result of the surprise bombing of the pearl habour by the Japanese. He went on to fly dozens of combat missions as a civilian contractor in the Pacific Theater of World War II.
